ONE IN SEVEN AMERICANS USE CBD
Fourteen percent of Americans use CBD according to a recent Gallup poll. They are using the CBD for therapeutic reasons
DEMOGRAPHICS
Young adults and people living in the West are the biggest demographic,(20 and 21 percent respectively). Almost one in ten of those 65 or older are using CBD. 13 percent of those in the South and 11 percent of those in the Midwest and East use CBD.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE USING CBD FOR
Forty percent of those polled said they used CBD for pain relief. 20 percent use it for relief of anxiety, 11 percent use it for sleep, 8 percent for arthritis, 5 percent for headaches, and 5 percent for stress relief.
RAPID GROWTH
As more and more people discover the efficacy of CBD and start using it to relieve stress, anxiety and pain, we will see a rapid growth in the industry. Because CBD is a natural product and because we naturally have cannabinoids in our bodies, there is little concern for side effects like that found in prescription drugs. This fact alone is probably the driving force in the upsurge of CBD use.
